Mid-Devon Food Network
This group primarily came out of research that was carried out regarding food insecurity in Mid-Devon by CHAT. Several organisations fed back that a regular get together may help with information sharing, surplus sharing, and general good practice.
It has developed into an informal network which meets in different locations throughout Mid-Devon or online each to bring our ideas, experience, and knowledge to the network. Involve hosts the forums and disseminates information gathered.
The aim is to:
Ensure that the services delivered by food organisations and projects meets the needs of communities in Mid-Devon by sharing good practice and guidelines through:
- working collaboratively
- supporting each member of the network
- liaising with other organisations, whether statutory or private, and sharing what works
- responding to external initiatives and drivers on behalf of service users and the community
- pooling of collective knowledge
